It has come to this time of year again where the winter woolies come out. While activity in the garden never stops we focus on preparation and maintenance for next year, and there is certainly less coming out the ground.
But there is still something coming out the ground.
Bute Produce are once again delivering their living Christmas trees to members of the community, and my goodness how the trees have been growing. Despite the frosts and snow of last year, our hardy firs have weathered well and grown. This has become all the more evident; here you can see a picture of them upon their arrival at the garden. Now, some of them tower between 8 and 9 foot high.
It was late October when we started to take reservations for this year, and they were entirely booked within two days. Varying in height, our trees are no longer the size that you see in this picture. With the love and care they have received they have been through a number of Christmases now, each time staying with people in the community during the festive period.
This year the trees will be delivered on 3rd December and 17th December. Perhaps you will see one, or maybe you have one yourself? Either way we hope you have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.
