Householders and businesses along Rothesay’s seafront are being urged to help ensure the town is fully in bloom ahead of the annual visit by the Beautiful Scotland competition judging panel.
Iain Gillespie, the secretary of the Bute In Bloom community group which co-ordinates Rothesay’s Beautiful Scotland entry each year, has written to The Buteman asking those on the judging route to consider putting out extra floral displays in time for the judges’ visit on Thursday, August 6.
Bute In Bloom is also asking shop owners to take a look at the front of their premises before the judges arrive in the town to ensure they are clean and free from the dirt often splashed up during spells of heavy rain.
We at Fyne Futures are going to decorate our shop at Deanhood Place/Montague Street. Why not join in too.
