Please note that the last box of the old scheme was 19^th December 2024 and we are not able to provide that service anymore.

We would like your feedback on what the new scheme could look like.  We expect the new scheme to begin in April 2025.  Below are the proposals.

The proposed new scheme will have 100% produce from the garden, all grown to organic principles.  We will continue to offer delivery on Thursdays and collection from the garden on Fridays.

The proposed model will follow a Community Supported Agriculture style.  In this model, members of the scheme commit to paying a set amount as an annual contribution or smaller amounts at a regular rate. This supports the full-time employment at Real Living Wage of our growers and the education and training that is delivered at the site involving our schools and people with barriers to employment.

Members will receive shares of the produce that is harvested from the garden.  However, members will accept that there may be times in the year when no crops are harvested and therefore no box will be available for delivery or collection.  There will be times when the share will be bountiful, and we will be able to make preserves and/or sell the excess through the ‘click and collect’ service we trialled in 2024. 

There will be a change in how we communicate with you.  It will be important to provide members with regular updates.  We are not sure yet whether we will use a tool such as mail chimp, but a new e-newsletter will be put in place which provides members with:

• What’s in the box and recipes
• Updates on production and productivity to ensure you are aware of any gluts or gaps
• News on activities and events at Bute Produce so you can be more involved in the outcomes being achieved for our community
• Exclusive offers connected to our furniture reuse outlet ReStyle and e-bike scheme Bike Bute and Bute Produce extras such as jams, chutneys and honey.

It is important that access to fresh, local produce is affordable.  We have calculated the members share prices based on current purchasing patterns, household sizes, recognising type of box and frequency of purchase:

• Cherish member £200 per year or £18 per month

Cherish members will receive at least of 5 portions of different ingredients or 5kg of produce when available. 

• Esteem member £375 per year or £33 per month

Esteem members will receive at least 8 portions of different ingredients or 6kg of produce when available. 

• Treasure member £525 per year or £46 per month

Treasure members will receive at least 10 portions of different ingredients or 7kg of produce when available.
